UDoIt Reviews – Ryobi Tire Inflator Demonstration

I have a Craftsman LT-2000 lawn tractor that I’m slowly restoring. Although it runs all four tires have a slow leak in them. I decided to purchase the Ryobi PCL001B because of its portability. It was a significant effort to unwind my 100ft air hose to reach the tractor in my backyard and then wrap it back up again. Now, I can grab my Ryobi Tire Inflator and pump up my tires. Alternatively, I could drive my tractor to my garage where I have my compressor hose reel. But, doing this on flat tires can break the tire seal. I know because it has happened to me before. And it is not fun setting the seal again.

Ryobi ONE+

This tool is one of many manufactured by Ryobi that are compatible with the Ryobi ONE+ batteries. I love its portability and the ability to swap batteries compared to the tire inflators made by other manufacturers with built-in batteries.

I already own the Ryobi caulk gun, which came with two batteries, and a charger. So, it made sense for me to purchase this. But, even if you do not own any Ryobi ONE+ products, this is a great buy with the additional purchase of a charger and battery.

My Thoughts – Ease of Use

The inflator is easy to use as I demonstrated in the video. Install the battery, press the power button, and set your pressure using the + and – buttons. I adjusted the pressure set-point for my front tires to 20PSI. And, the pressure was set to 16PS for the rear tires. The tire inflator nozzle quickly connects to the Schrader valve and locks in place with the lever. And the inflator takes over once you press the start button. By the way, the start button can also be pressed again to stop it.

I also have a dolly with two pneumatic tires with slow leaks as well. I will be using my new Ryobi Tire Inflator to pump up the tires when the need arises.
