Puglia Pizza is a marketing juggernaut that I have witnessed dominate since following them when they first opened. The day they hit 10,000 followers on Instagram, which was April 7, 2026, I told Mrs U Do It we’re going on a date night to celebrate with them.

Location
Located at the former Little Italy on the corner of South and South 9th Streets in South Philadelphia. It is owned and operated by both Chef Cosimo and his wife Heather. It’s a family operation and everyone helps. They offer pizza as the name implies and much more. They even have pasta and sauces imported from Italy for sale.

Parking is generally easy. It didn’t take long for me to find a spot. You pay for parking using the ParkMobile app, which I briefly demonstrate in my video below. I included a segment at the end of my video (Date Night at Puglia Pizza) because a family asked me about parking. The spots of 2 to 3 hour parking, which is plenty of time to grab a couple of slices, some focaccia, and a drink.

Internet Famous
Puglia Pizza is a social media goldmine and they are all taking advantage of it. Their marketing campaign is a never ending supply of engaging content created within their shop. Cosimo’s and Heather’s personalities resonate well with their fans and it shows. AND they actually respond to comments and interact with their fans and customers! Too many businesses fall short in this aspect of social media. Most treat it as a one direction. One customer recently requested on their order that the pizza must look exactly like it does on their Instagram and they delivered – literally. BRAVO!
On the date (April 7, 2026) of their Instagram reel below they hit 10,000 followers within 10 months in business. And as of the date (May 23, 2026) of this article, they reached 15,000 followers (5k growth in just 6 weeks).

Date Night at Puglia Pizza
On April 8th, 2026 I took Mrs U Do It to Puglia Pizza to celebrate 10k followers. As I walk in I’m greeted by Heather and you can see their pasta and sauce selection. Their pizza and gourmet pizza is prominently on display for you. Mrs U Do It and I chose a few along with a fountain drink.
After we finished our pizza I was treated to a behind the scenes with Cosimo as he prepared focaccia with mortadella, arugula, stracciatella, and extra virgin olive oil. And I followed him as he delivered it to Sherri for her reaction. You’ll see her reaction. Chefs Kiss!

The evening we were there we witnessed Kevin Baylis, known as The Heartist, painting a mural paying tribute to the diverse culture and history of Philadelphia. You can see more of it on Puglia Pizza’s Instagram.

My Thoughts
Puglia Pizza is a great example of engaging content combined with social media interactions done right. If I were still coaching businesses I would have it easy. All I’d have to say is replicate Puglia Pizza’s model.
I’d like to thank Chef Cosimo and Heather for their hospitality and welcoming me into their space to capture a glimpse of greatness in action.
