Do It Yourself Build a Shed – Installing Vinyl Shutters
In this video, I demonstrate how I install vinyl shutters over vinyl siding to improve the look of my shed.
My windows are 17 inches by 35 inches and include J-Channel for the siding making the window appear slightly larger. The shutters I purchased are 14 3/4 inches wide by 35 inches tall. These come with 8 screws and 8 plastic spikes. You can decide which you choose to use. I chose to use the spikes.
Installation was easy but as you can see in my intro care must be taken when installing the spikes. I used a hammer to install them, which was fine with very light taps that were perfectly aligned with the spike. I purchased a pack of viny shutter spikes to replace the broken one.
