Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer Starts But Suddenly Stops
Although I’m able to start my pressure washer, which is a Troy-Bilt 875EX with a Briggs & Stratton engine, won’t stay running. You may also say that my Pressure Washer starts but Suddenly Stops, as if there is a carburetor problem. For example, the main jet could be clogged from being in storage with untreated gas. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use gas stabilizer to avoid this from happening or completely drain the tank and the bowl. I can start my pressure washer but then it stops running immediately.
I tried to start it and it ran for a short time and immediately shut off. In other words my pressure washer won’t stay running. The bowl is filling up with fuel but not at a quick rate. Thanks to Joe in my other video (shown below) I was able to diagnose the problem quickly and solve it with a ratchet and a 1/2″ socket and some carb cleaner. This other video goes into more detail.
