Solid Packaging
The packaging for the torque wrench includes a molded foam insert with embossed lettering indicating the manufacturer as well as the size torque wrench. It was accompanied by a calibration spec sheet and a quick-start guide. There’s not much to learn about using a torque wrench but it is always good to read in case there are any special notes from the manufacturer to follow.
Torque Setting
You can easily set the torque on the UYECOVE Torque Wrench by turning the handle until the top of it reaches the desired setting. Each major marking is 20-inch-pounds and the handle has an indicator of 1-inch-pounds per 1/20th of a rotation.
UYECOVE Torque Wrench Demonstration
I’m slowly restoring the Craftsman Radial Arm Saw that I inherited from my dad. He purchased it in 1971 when I was two years old. One of the adjustments I’m trying to make is setting the bevel plate for the saw. The plate on this model is secured with four cap head bolts. Although I do not remember the torque setting for these bolts I set the 1/4-Inch Drive Torque Wrench to 120-inch-pounds as a way to test the torque wrench.
Torque Wrench Storage
One important thing to remember is proper torque wrench storage includes setting the torque wrench to the lowest setting. But, read your torque wrench operating guide to confirm that this is the case.
